I was born and raised in Basra, Iraq.
In 2017, I packed my life into two suitcases and moved to Sweden to pursue my Master's at Halmstad University. It was a leap into the unknown—new language, new culture, and winters darker than I could have imagined. But it was also the start of everything that followed.
Since then, I've built a life and a career here, currently based in Malmö. My work in AI—from optimizing computer vision on edge devices at Axis to scaling GenAI for millions of users at IKEA—has been about solving real problems, not just chasing hype. I like building things that work, stay up, and actually help people.
Beyond the code, I am a traveler at heart. I've visited 53 countries across 5 continents so far. Whether it's backpacking through Southeast Asia, road-tripping across the US, or exploring the Nordics, I'm always planning the next trip.
